Application
Insertion
Wash your hands thoroughly before use. Fold a PERIOD menstrual disc along the flexible double rim and carefully insert it toward the cervix.
Then, push the front rim behind your pubic bone so the disc sits securely. A complicated folding technique is not required. Due to its flexible shape, it adapts to your anatomy.
Wearing and emptying
The PERIOD menstrual disc can be worn for up to 12 hours. Depending on the intensity of your period, earlier emptying may be necessary.
For many users, the auto-dumping function allows for partial emptying while using the toilet. As pelvic floor muscles change, the rim can release slightly and release menstrual fluid. Whether and when this function occurs varies from person to person.
Alternatively, you can carefully release the front rim with your index finger, pull the disc out slightly, and empty it.
Removal
Grasp the menstrual disc by the front double rim and pull it out slowly, keeping it as horizontal as possible. Empty the fluid into the toilet, rinse the disc thoroughly with water, and reinsert if necessary.
It may take a little practice, especially during your first use. Feel free to give yourself one or two menstrual cycles to familiarize yourself with the handling.
Care & Cleaning
Rinse the used menstrual disc thoroughly with clean water between uses. For a more intensive cleaning, the matching PERIOD DISK Tabs can be used to remove blood residues and odors.
After each period, the manufacturer recommends pouring boiling water over the disc and letting it stand for five minutes. Then, allow it to dry completely and store it hygienically, for example in a suitable zip bag.
Wash your hands thoroughly before every insertion and removal.
Advantage of the 2-pack: While you are using one menstrual disc, you can clean the second one, let it dry, or store it as a spare. This way, you always have an extra disc ready to hand.
